I just heard someone whisper behind me

Okay I’ve always thought hearing voices was cool and creepy but I didn’t think I’d ever do it??

I was walking in the hallway and I heard someone whisper behind me “heeeey” like they were trying to get my attention, and it was clear as day. Nobody there either, I’m home alone. Creepy huh? It was scary for a second but I was like “do it again!!” 5 seconds later lol

Also, it’s probably fine since hearing voices is a common symptom of BPD which I’ve suspected I have for a while so it’s all good. Creepy though right? Hah

I actually want it to happen again, so cool and creepy!

Is BPD Bipolar disorder? Because I don't think hearing voices is a symptom of bipolar. Or is BPD Borderline personality disorder? Because I don't think hearing voices is a symptom of that either.

I think having either of these disorders you may think someone is talking to you or about you, for example a group of people might be laughing amongst themselves and someone with these disorders may believe it is about them. But not hearing a voice outside their head (hallucinating)

Hearing voices is schizophrenia but there is a line between actually hallucinating a voice compared to hearing a voice in your head.

Most likely it was the wind blowing in the crawl space above your ceiling.

Hearing voices can happen within either disorder as both are prone to short term psychotic breaks. Bi polar in general when not medicated and Bpd when angered. But doubtful hearing a voice one time would be anywhere near the only symptom if that were coming on. Sounds like op simply just misheard a sound.

When someone hears voices, what does it sound like? Is it like hearing an actual voice as if someone in the room or more muffled, garbled, or what I imagine - like a fast echoing?

When I’m in dead silence I can hear a radio in my head but I can never make out the song I’ve got DNDJFBB.

I have had that happen as well. A couple times I thought some jack-ass was blasting his car radio but I would open the front door and it was dead silent outside.

Were you very tired at the time?

One of the scariest things that has ever happened to me I was like 12years old. I was in my livingroom at 3am on the computer. It was very dark and creepy in there. I was tired and All of a sudden I felt a hand touch me on the shoulder. I jumped up in the air looked behind me, notbing was there, then I ran to my bedroom and turned all the lights on. I was convinced for years it was a ghost. But since then I've experienced this alot. Actually about an hour ago I was laying here in my bed and heard a car door slam. Theres no car door...

When I haven't slept for days, due to a manic episode and attempt to sleep, I hear loud bangs like car doors. I figure it's a neurological thing, but haven't found anything online to support it.
