Why would they fake this so the whole world goes broke? That conspiracy theory is more stupid than believing the government is lying about the earth being round...
Same I get that people shouldn't panic but to act like it isn't real is beyond dumb.
I don't think its fake but I believe governments and politicians are spreading unnecessary Panic. The reason they are spreading panic is because they fit the category of people who die from it, old, fat, weak, other medical issues lol, thats the reason their worried.
I thought most politicians were young (21 to 35), slender, strong athletes who's vitals looked perfect? The kind of people who look diabetes in the eye and say "Not in my body, you asshole!"
Maybe if they have health issues, it is with their joints because they train so hard.

BTW, that actually explains a lot. I go to one forum where a lot of people are freaking out over corona. The typical age on the members? Let's just say a lot of them remember when The Beatles first came out.
In my town the people who think the coronavirus is fake either don't have loved ones who could be affected or they're just mentally ill. It's best to ignore them.
It's a depressing thought, but the world is full of idiots and situations like this highlight their stupidity.
Back in the good old days, the fool who said, "Saber-toothed tiger? I don't see no tiger out front of the cave, bro. Fake news!" would have been eaten, the tribal average intelligence would have nudged up a bit, and a lesson would have been reinforced for the whole group.
These days, most idiots survive not only to adulthood but to old age, and the current delusion that everyone's views - no matter how ill-informed they may be - have equal validity means that stupidity spreads far faster than any virus ever will.

Yesterday I somehow found myself on a youtube channel debunking flat earthers and came across what I reckon is a really funny comment to the effect that the earth can't be flat, because if it were cats would've pushed everything off the edge by now.

I'm so envious today: I'm not having much contact at all with anyone because I'm in the highest death rate risk group for this virus if I catch it, and my daughter and grand daughter have just acquired a beautiful young cat from a shelter and I can't even visit them for a cuddle of the cat or, of course, hugs from them. Damn this virus, I say.

Never take ANYTHING the government says as being true just because they said it. The environment has gotten extremely big-brothery with limits on people interacting and curfews.
I've noticed an increase in chem planes flying around my area when flights are supposed to be grounded. Just an observation that seems slightly suspicious.
