I feel annoyed that i'm getting food stamps

While I understand that food stamps are needed to help people and I'm not agianst it or anything.

But recently I have applied for it and I feel guilty I had no other choice due to some issues happening lately but I keep feeling this nagging guilt about getting food stamps.

Is it normal to feel this way?

It's not a big deal why do you feel guilty if you need it. 28
It's the worst thing you did and your destroying the nation you leech. 4

You need it and that's why it's there. I hope you get back on your feet soon.

I got given free food for a while when I got my own place and I felt pretty guilty about it. However, that's what the system is there for, to help people who need it. There's no shame in needing help once in a while.

Hey, the fact that you feel this way proves that you're not a shitty person. I have an aunt that's on stamps and keeps juicing out kids from different fathers so she gets more. Sometimes she'll sell them for crack. She doesn't care about herself and is happy living that way.

YOU, my friend, are using stamps for their intended use...to be a crutch for an otherwise hardworking person that's just down on their luck. You'll get back on your feet soon. I have faith in you.

Try to focus your energy on feeling gratitude instead of shame. Start a gratitude journal, it will help you!

And don't trade food stamps for ammunition, alcohol, or dope.

If you need it, you need it. I assume you've paid taxes for other people in the past; you're simply taking your turn. You aren't buying lobster and fifty bucks worth of sweets (and then using the rest of your money to buy from the hot bar), you actually need help. When you get back on your feet, you'll stop.

I’m on food stamps. I don’t feel guilty about it. You wanna know why? The government is supposed to help us. I don’t feel bad taking money away from the government. I paid my taxes and shit. They’re rich and the least they could do is give back. Fuck them.

Shit happens in life. There's no need to feel ashamed. You're getting them because you actually need them. (Unlike some people in my town who sell them at half price to buy things they don't need.)

What's wrong with getting 60 cents on the dollar to buy 40s with food stamps? you're giving up 40% of your buying power.

You're just using them for what they're there for, poor people. I need to get some food stamps.

That's the entire point of government assistance, to help you when you need them, that's why you pay taxes and contribute to society. So society will return the favor when you need it. Using food stamps or unemployment or medicaid is no different than using insurance money when you get sick or get in a car accident or have something stolen that you need to replace. You already paid for it, you're supposed to use it when you need it.

Don't let these spoiled shit stains guilt trip you into thinking you're doing something wrong. The only reason they fabricate these stories about people abusing the system(it's been proven that these cases are so rare they're not even worth discussing) is because they feel like they're better than everyone else and they shouldn't have to pay taxes to help the less fortunate, because they were born with everything handed to them on a silver platter and they'll never need the help. Have you ever noticed that it's almost always people who were spoiled rotten growing up, living off their parents' hard work, who feel this way? They're the real leeches who are destroying the nation. You do more work in a year than they do in a lifetime.

The only time you should feel guilty is when you apply for food stamps and you don't need them.

People have to pay a lot of money for governments to exist so it should be expected that they take care of their people.

Look at what your country spends on
    The military
    The prisons
Congress and senators that work or filibuster like 3 weeks a year.
    But are paid like royalty.
As long as you're trying to better yourself.
    You should feel no shame.
But if leeching is your life.
    I hope it's a short one.
