I drink sparkling water to soothe my anxiety

I may have been having an anxiety attack several days ago. I didn't know what to do, so I grabbed a quart of sparkling water and chugged about 3/4 of it down.

I like the way it burns, hurts, and fills me up. It helps to clear my head.

I think I drink it as a replacement for alcohol, partially because alcohol is unhealthy for a developing brain, and it's not readily available to me anyway.

I have taken a few sips of alcohol when under great stress, and it's helped. However, that could be a gateway into your standard substance abuse, which is the last thing I need.

I've considered getting anxiety pills, but I can't purchase them yet, and I don't want to discuss my condition with anyone. The stigma would just make everything worse.

I also don't like taking too much medicine, as they all contain toxins which can put the liver under extra strain.

Not that normal, but I'm actually curious to try this. I don't see the harm in it to be honest. Whatever works for you!

It's normal. I know several alcoholics that replaced it with San Pelegrino
