I call all my kids I nanny for "monkey", as in "cheeky monkey". I have done for 15 years.
I do not call my bi racial nephew "monkey" because of the connotations. I don't want him thinking, when he is old enough to understand, that I would use a slur against him.

They came here and started working. They didn't collect welfare checks and get free housing like they do now. That's my main point. In a free country like America the government should not be allowed to rob our pay checks and give our money to anyone they please to give it to without our permission.
We don't even have enough money budgeted to help the mentally ill, they're ending up homeless. We can't even provide medical care to our people,, but it's just handed out to these so called "immigrants" like free candy.
I say, you want to come here, we'll see if we need you and if we have work for you after we take care of our own first. You will work like everyone else, and no handouts, PERIOD.

Well asshole obviously they all didn't come at the same time. I'm sure there are those still coming. Between 1845 and 1855 more than 1.5 million adults and children left Ireland to seek refuge in America. Someone with a basic level of intelligence would understand that is what I was referring to.
