I don't think children are more important than adults

I think vulnerable adults such as autistic women deserve as much protection as children, if not more depending on the severity of their vulnerability. I don't think age matters so much as how actually vulnerable the individual person is. People act like children feel more pain than adults but that's not true, adults are more often in pain than kids are.

Children need more protection because their brain is still developing and any form of abuse / neglect will alter what type of adult they become.

Men have always been the most expendable. Theres a reason society has historically run a certain way. Women are the baby makers and they can raise children on their own if need be. Children are the most important thing for the future of a society, they're the least expendable. Military age men can die if need be and the children will soon grow and take their place and run society. If you destroy the children your society collapses in one generation.

Protection often comes in the form of restriction and regulation. Children are so highly guarded because they are unable to guard themselves, and are restricted far more as compared to adults who enjoy liberties and freedoms.

You can not have safety and freedom. As it is often our own actions that put us in harms way.
If you want special care and attention, you must be ready to play by rules that make you easier to manage.

Severely disabled people don’t contribute anything to society and just consume resources. Children have the potential to grow up and achieve things. It doesn’t really matter what happens to disabled adults because it has no consequence for anyone but them. If you fuck up a generation of children, that has consequences for everyone

You can't convince me. Someone who is dependant on social workers, psychologists and government aid has less value than a child. You're wasting resources on someone who doesn't contribute

Also children don't have jobs or contribute anything, therefore judging by your logic, they are no less "expendable" than me. "I don't think age matters" but no one wants to save the elderly! Man, I know your life expectancy drops as you get older, but I didn't take into account people just leaving you to die because you don't count as a "vulnerable adult."
