Well, not to 100%. I care about and value my mother and father for all the care and support they have provided and still do. But other than them..
When I see some donation campaigns (organised beggary) I move on, won't bother to spend a dime on any cause. Ice bucket and etc. BS was cringy shit and everyone who took part to me are spineless punks. Black lives don't matter to me. Cops lives don't matter to me. No one does. What else? Ask me, I'll tell you.

So far 6 outta 7 :) When I say 'I don't care' do you take it as that I don't want to know about anything from the world around me? No it means I'm not gonna change or step outta my way to please others. Your opinion will not influence me. It does not necessary matter but I can be as curious as I'd like. Respecting something goes beyond caring about the person. I respect bears. Sure I dont respect the lives of bears but I wouldnt want to be within 100 ft of one due to how easily it could kill me. Thus I respect bears.

I respect the badge because that badge is projected authority of the state. Now since its attached to a person with feelings I dont want to get on the bad side the person attached to the projection of authority.

You are correct for not trusting organized donation places. It's honestly more effective to donate to a church because that church will at least feel morally compelled to donate it. That or give to missionaries.

No one is entitled to respect, it's earned. Never respect anyone until they've earned it, however one should not go around disrespecting/being unkind to others for no reason either.

It's very normal that you don't care. The world that we live in and the history behind us didn't come about by lack of compassion being rare.

However, it's silly that you make fun of people who put their efforts into helping others and bettering the world.

Callousness is nothing to be proud of. It's the easiest, simplest way to live, actually. No one says, "Wow, they're strong," when seeing a person walking with their two legs bearing only their own weight.

One might be seen as strong, however, for taking a cripple on their back and walking with more than their own weight.
