I can tell my dogs apart by their scent

two of my dogs look and feel pretty much the same, because they were from the same litter. they’re always around eachother and they sleep on my bed with me every night.

a few minutes ago i turned the light off and walked up to my bed, and one of them started licking my hand but i couldn’t see him. i bent down and started feeling his fur but i couldn’t tell which dog it was, so i sniffed him and knew who he was immediately. i didn’t realize what i did until just before i started typing this. is it normal that i can tell them apart just by their smell?

Most living things have their own unique scent. That's pretty cool that you can smell them.
