I can't do much house work cause i get back pain?

When I try to vacuum the floors and clean the house I get a sore back and I have to rest. It feels like a stitch but only in my back. After I sit back down, it still hurts, and I have to wait an hour or so to try again, but it will show up again shortly. I've been suffering from in-and-out back pain for 6 years.

I disagree with 1WeirdGuy on this: Before you go the medical route... you need to look at Muscle Ballance Therapy.

I had horrible back pain for years. Finally got so I could barely work (at all). Normal Physical Therapy was not working. The Dr's wanted to do injections and surgery; but many back surgeries fail (Its so common that they even have a medical diagnosis of "Failed Back Surgery").

I stumbled onto " www.losethebackpain.com " and learned about muscle imbalances; and Muscle Balance Therapy.

I'd been doing physical therapy exercises daily for 3 months with no progress. Once we figured out that I had a significant high hip and a forward tilted pelvis (distorting the back spine significantly). That produced a specific set of exercises for me that I could do at home with only needing to buy a floor mat and a large inflatable ball.

1/2 way through the 1st set of those exercises produced more pain relief than 3 months of normal physical therapy. A few weeks later I was able to return to full work shifts (much faster than back surgery recovery - if you recover as back surgery does not fix muscle imbalances).

It took about 6 months to re-straiten my spine to normal.

That was about a decade ago; and I've never had an injection or a back surgery. I do a shortened back exercise set about 10 minutes long twice a week to keep things aligned.

My understanding is the Muscle Balance Therapy eliminates the need for about 70% or more of most back injections and surgery. My Physical Therapist had no clue. Neither did the Dr's I talked to. Sadly, the Chiropractor I once went to for my back problem only made it worse by "manipulating" my back without doing an evaluation of my spine alignment and prescribing stretches and exercises (so I consider him one of the Quacks that infect the Chiropractic industry as spine alignment and muscle balance is supposed to be their forte).

I suggest that you try Muscle Balance Therapy before doing invasive medical treatments. If you need an injection to get you started - ok. But you may need nothing medically other than doing exercises and stretches to properly align your spine.

I recomend that you at least review the material at www.losethebackpain.com

Click on "Treatments" and I suggest you start with the Muscle Balance Therapy section.

Several hundred dollars to this site for their program a decade ago solved my back problems, after spending thousands at the Dr's, Hospitals, and in Physical Therapy.

If Muscle Balance Therapy does not resolve the issues - then perhaps its time to see a Dr.

I wish you well with your back.. and you have a great life ahead.

Perhaps you could at least try vacuuming from a different angle and/or avoiding bending at all during the process of it.

You need an MRI and steroid injections. The steroids could cure it if its not that bad. Worst case scenario you can get the surgery I had called micro-disectomy. You dont have to get a fusion anymore with the new ones you're fully recovered in a month.
