How should i treat my extreme anxiety?

Yesterday I went looking down on the floor and lots of people were saying to me " You look upset whats wrong " I keep fleeing from those who keep trying to help me at one point I had fled from my therapist, I fled from my own family. I still don't allow people to come near me nor try and comfort me.

Ever since April I have been feeling this way and I feel it has been untreated anxiety ever since avoiding and fleeing from people and I hide if people try to go and cuddle me ( I know this sounds absurd but please hear me out now. )

If it is not me doing that when people come near me I go crying again.

I want to get rid of my very very extreme anxiety but I feel like I could be in trouble if I did.

I wish I knew what to do.

Yes I should go and get professional help now 12

  • I think you should learn to listen to your heart beat when you start to get anxiety; feeling the beats makes me focused and sorta slows time down

You should also learn to be okay with yourself when you're alone if there happens to be anything that makes it not okay to face yourself

Feeling your heart beat and slowing down time and thinking about the cause and effect nature of what you're experiencing will start you on recovery

You can take the journey exactly how you want to as long as each day is better than the last

Go get on meds and seek therapy. Personally I found CBT useless and meds useful, but as you can see from ellnell's comment different things work for different people, and there are multiple things you can do to fix yourself up on this one.

Do something about it, dude, time marches and and you don't want to lose out on life without fighting.

CBT is really good given you find a good psychologist. Therapy can also been good, just having someone you feel comfortable opening up to and discussing your anxiety can help even if the therapist is not the best. In my opinion. Medication can of course be a good idea too but I think it's a last resort, if nothing else works and if so I think you should keep trying to battle it with what you've learned in therapy while taking the meds. Not just get on meds and give up on trying to better it with practice as well. I have anxiety myself. It's a bitch but it certainly won't get better if you don't acknowledge it and start opening up about it. Confide in the people closest to you that you can trust and definietely try getting professional help. If you don't know yourself professional help can also help you figure out your anxiety triggers so you can easier treat it.
