spit works well has a lube, but dries quickier than other types, so pay attention.
Also, the best thing i found that is good to start isnt your finger. it the back of those cheap toothbrushes.

Don't try it without lube. Surely you must have baby oil or moisturiser or something similar in your home? If not, get yourself out of the house and buy some lube in the supermarket.

do it in the shower, cleanest place to be, use soap as you would normally but put some on your hands then start, it will clean it too
