How common are gray eyes?

I think my genetics wanted them to be blue, but there's almost no color in them. They're more gray. Some people hype it up as being a rare eye color, but the number of people I've seen who claim to have them leads me to believe it probably isn't. How common are they, and do any of you have gray eyes or know people who do?

    I dont think they're that common. My eyes were gray when I was younger now they are green. They started blue, then gray now green. I think gray is probably just a certain shade of blue that looks gray.
