bf of 3 years is upset and wanting to breakup with me bc i want to spend valentine’s day with my sister. is it fucked up on my part to want to spend it with her? i told him and he like flipped out... idk what to do. iin?

Ummm...maybe she just likes hanging out with her sister? People get gifts for their parents and hang out with them, why not siblings? She probably spends more time with her boyfriend anyway. In either case, it’s her fucking choice who she wants to be with and it’s shitty that he would get upset about that.
The problem is not hanging with your sister, it's hanging with your sister when it's Valentine's day, a day were regular people are expected to spend time with the person they are in relationship with.

I totally understand the boyfriend for getting upset. Even if I wouldn't leave my girlfriend for this, I would be upset too. And I hope that my girlfriend would be upset too if I did that to her and if she really loved me.
Yeah, why would you want to spend Saint Valentine's Day with your sister instead of your boyfriend? I think this gesture is quite inconsiderate, unloving towards your boyfriend. I don't blame him one bit for being upset, and wanting to breakup with you!

What? I agree he’s kind of a loser but I don’t know if he’s inhuman or unworthy of love. Like that’s fucked up. Addiction is a disease, thankfully he got over it. It doesn’t make him any less human. You get into drugs for human reasons, pain usually. You can’t take it anymore and so you start on drugs as opposed to blowing your brains out. I hate it when people act liek addicts can’t love or they don’t have feelings. Like seriously? You’re the one who can’t love.
I can love plenty, but if someone is abusing drugs, or alcohol, and is unwilling to sober up, or even if that person has sobered up, and starts treating me badly I'm going to leave. There's nothing wrong with not wanting to stay with someone who doesn't treat one well!
Could you possibly compromise? Spend the day with your sister, and the evening with your boyfriend. Seems like that should solve the problem.

I think women should make their own decisions without feeling pressured! I’m making a similar choice, spending the day with my two roommates (and yes we DO have sex with each other), and the evening (and night) with my boyfriend.

Yes. He often will have some of his friends over to watch ballgames and fuck me. I have had 2 gang bangs that he has participated in. But then he fucks my 2 roommates and anyone else he chooses. When he graduates, he will be moving in with us.

I hate cheaters, and everyone on this website who knows me knows that I freaking hate cheating, and cheaters, but you shouldn't have spat in her face. Spitting in someone's face is a truly vile thing to do. To tell you the truth ya'll both sound like jackasses from your story. I just happen to be a firm believer in leaving a relationship when someone treats me badly.

There appears to be a lot of context to this scenario. Valentines day is Friday, a pretty normal date night. Most people would be upset if their significant other didn't want to spend the day designed for couples together. Now if your sister just went through a bad breakup, this may be excused. But without alll the details, it is weird to spend lovers day with your sister. Would you ditch your mom on mother's day for your boyfriend?
