Hallucinations

So, 4-5 months ago I saw my dog out of the corner of my eye and I turned and she wasn't there actually she was sleeping in her bed. I also felt like I was being scratched and sexually touched when I was lying in my bed with my eyes open. The next day no hallucinations. Oh and I forgot to mention sometimes I hear calling and faint music.

I've had hallucinations for years ..
Sounds scary but I don't think you have anything to worry about, it just sounds like your mind playing tricks on you ..
Have you been sleeping okay recently or had a lot of stress?

Hallucinations can be treated with antipsychotics, but I'm not entirely sure these are real hallucinations, rather than simply your mind playing tricks on you. It's common to feel weird things while you sleep, and feeling like you are seeing things that are not there from the corner of your eye is also normal from time to time. Now, if you soundly hear unexplainable voices when you are awake, or see some things that are hard to explain, then I would be worried and seek for help. In any case, if you are really concerned, seeing a psychiatrist should ease your mind.

Still, laying in bed trying to sleep can cause such things to happen. I've had it happen before, getting close to sleep and entering a sort of twilight state of dreaming or waking up from sleep and still seeing things that aren't there.

Nothing you posted here yet sounds like it's any real cause for alarm, just the sorts of visual and auditory fuckery the human brain is capable of producing all on it's own. Unless these become common and much more potent than occasional weirdness like that, I think you're okay.

it is normal as in you are not the only one to experience this. however you should visit your doctor and relay this information to him/her. these may be treatable :)

I have hallucinations too, but mine are of dead people and the people I hate. So I guess it is normal.

I'm not fucking with you man, if you ever tell a psychiatrist that you have been having hallucinations he will lock you for internment in a psych ward and will prescribe you most likely with an atypical antipsychotic.

Problem is, this is a neurodenegerative disease and its eating away your brain cells, damaging your memory and certain parts of your brain. You'll feel confused at first and you might end up insane being a danger to yourself and/or others. If you do drugs or alcohol you need to stop immediately and see if the hallucinations go away. Try to get a good night sleep every time and avoid stressful environments.

Your talking bullshit. I'm female. I don't take drugs and if you read my post you would know this happened 5-6 months ago

Well, that's allright then. Must have been only just a brief moment of lapse of clarity. I apologize, i should have payed more attention to what you wrote, those were not auditory or tactile hallucinations. But the part where you say you hear calling and faint music is worrisome.

when we look at the Forrest we see all the leaves , they are their to see but our mind sees a tree or a Forrest. seeing every leaf has no survival benefit. what humans see may not even be real. it may just be what we need to see to survive. so if you see things that are not real its just your mind overriding reality , something it has done all the time after birth.

I have vision problems and so I know about seeing things that I'm pretty sure were not there. So I'm just saying your mind probably telling your eyes to see something that wasn't there at all. As in "Nothing there". But this is just my opinion. Opinions are like assholes, we all have them, some stink and some don't.

If you mean in conjunction with like say - mushrooms? Then that would be an entire new and different post.

I can’t say that its normal, but there are a lot of people who have hallucinations (my grandma included). I’d say seek medical help :)
