Got planz for the wee-kend

Every friday a 23 YO male in our office asks "got planz for the wee-kend" at first i was polite, then something like, oh just try to stay cool, and he still doesn't get the hint! I want to tell him it's none of your f---g business. I don't ask and don't care what your plans are. Many years ago, when I was young and single i had a boss who asked this, and I always said yes i have plans, i plan to not be here! oh I know some people will say get over yourself he's just being friendly. Small talk is fine I can handle chit-chat, but not direct questions about my personal life. We work together doesn't make us friends or pals.

Tell them you plan on waxing your anus.

I think you’re interpreting this as prying when he’s likely just trying to be friendly. If you don’t want to tell him you can just tell a boring lie about what you’re doing.

It's typically just people trying to be social and starting a conversation about something the other person would be interested in, since most people love to talk about themselves.

I've found that a lot of the time when people ask if you have any plans for the weekend or an upcoming holiday, it's because they don't have plans themselves and either are asking to get some possible ideas or to make themselves appear more social than they really are
