Expeditions around the city

I don't know whether anything is normal or not but I know it's conventional. Normal means following a standard, usual, regular, typical, I don't fit what the dictionary calls that "standard", whatever that means. So in going around the city I bought this black forest cake from the train station cafe, it had a cherry on top 🍒.
And I was heading home back to my mental health facility, at the time I must've been similar to everyone there in the city, I'm pretty sure I was trying to be normal. Is this normal?
