I have been single basics my whole life and ive had 3 sexual partners. I am hoping to find a relationship soon and I want to love and be loved. However, I have difficulty opening up sexually to people I know and difficulty opening up emotionally to people I am sleeping with!! I want to be able to combine the two and I never can! Help!!!!
Well if you're a student still I'd say be patient and learn to take things slow with your partners. I'd never do anything sexual or intimate before getting to know them and them you very well. Otherwise you can be left emotionally detached and unfulfilled by progressing to another area that's hard to back out of. Sadly once you sleep with someone, sometimes that's all they'll look forward to afterwards. They may not want to delve into the most meaningful parts of relationship that you're looking for yourself
Being emotionally contained without choice is a pretty huge shovel to the head of any relationship, so it'll stay formal. Wish you luck in figuring it out... It is something you'll probably have to work out yourself
