Eating bone marrow

I am a white North American and I notice how wasteful are culture is in general but why do people not eat the bones? Even as I write this I am feeling the chickens leg snap in between my teeth as the sweet sweet juices of cluckie drip out and coat my tongue in that succulent flavor.

Who else does this and is native North American (States/Canada), Eg. family has been here for more then 50 years.

I agree with you, I suppose I just want to see how vogue it is as you put it in my culture.

Something's not right about you. You're a native North American..what does that mean exactly? Is that what Indians are calling themselves today? Or are you some fucked up Canadian psycho or something. Eating bones? No animal on this planet wants to eat the bones. If you want to utilize the bones, then put them in a pot of water and make stock out of them for gods sake.

Bone marrow is exceptionally delicious however most North Americans buy their chicken from major fast food chains and pre-made store baught stuff.

They don't cook chicken nor buy quality chicken good enough to cook the proper way so that the marrow is more easily gotten to and still, even so, wouldn't eat the marrow because it's "gross"

I don't eat any animal products now but as a kid when I ate meat I loved to break the chicken bones and scrape out the marrow with a bone shard and eat it. It was good at the time, and I didn't want to waste it.

My grandmother's chicken and dumpling recipe uses the bone marrow from the chicken. It gives the chicken a hearty glutamate flavor.

Americans don't eat a lot of things, we're used to processed and bleached food products, but "nose to tail" is becoming more of a thing here, at fancy eateries at least.

I hear bone marrow is amazing- I've never eaten it alone, but tried it in sauces in France, and that was the best food I've ever had.

I've grown up with "white meat" and perfectly non-meat meat products my whole life, and after being vegetarian for years, I don't see myself sucking anything out of a bone or eating organ meat...I know it's a waste of food, but I'm grossed out by it : (

To be honest, I usually don't eat the bone. On rare occasions, I do eat the bone when I'm really hungry. The marrow taste good with barbecue sauce.

My mom throws bone marrow in her homemade tomato sauce. Gives it a meatier flavor.

Most people don't really think about it as edible.
