Does the news get on your nerves?

Idk if other countries news networks does this but in America they will have a guest on for 30 seconds and for 25 seconds the news anchor will rant and then ask the guest to respond and mid sentence the news anchor will say "im sorry we are out of time"

Shouldnt they schedule the segment for more like 10 minutes to have a decent conversation? It sometimes makes me wonder if anyone likes this short time stuff on the news. The guests are always rushing to finish before theyre cut off.

Well, Bulgarian news is nothing like that. Hardly any guests. Those are reserved for post news talk shows.

But I do hate it regardless, cause all you ever hear about is the stupid coronavirus. Corona here, corona there, corona every-fucking-where and idiot politicians trying to convince us that this shit is the new normal. It's not! I see revolutions and civil wars if this keeps going for another year.

PS: One thing Bulgarian news and American news has in common are adverts. BREAKING NEWS!!! But not as breaking to not have adverts...

      Its all about fear.

BREAKING NEWS!! a new strain of covid is likely to be 10X worse. Lord Fauci said the vaccine is totally pointless now. New video emerges of church goers not wearing masks.

IN OTHER BREAKING NEWS! A white man caught on camera calling a black female the N word. Researchers say he may be a Trump supporter.

AND LATER! global warming researchers say we have less time than originally thought! We must totally stop all green house gases to reverse climate change by next year.

AND ALSO! Have you been prescribed prozac? New information shows that youre likely to die.

BREAKING NEWS!!! A caravan of illegals is gathering in Central America right now, expected to arrive by next week.

IN OTHER BREAKING NEWS! The war on Christmas rages on as somebody overheard saying “happy holidays” at a local Walmart, believed to be a Soros funded SJW.

AND LATER! More on the millions of jobs that have already been lost, all of the guns that have already been confiscated, how much your taxes are going to go up, and the uncontrolled rising debt. All due to the rigged election. BUT FIRST, another city was burned to the ground by BLM and ANTIFA and yet another comedian succumbs to cancel culture.

You’re right, it really is all about fear.

I think this is why this lockdown stuff is so frustrating. I don't have cable, was at the pub the other day and they had some news thing on, if I was watching this crap every day I'd think bodies are piling up in the streets. Remember when China had some giant fake funeral pyre of all the dead people that fake astronauts could see from the fake space station?

If you don't watch any propaganda stuff and live your life, the world isn't really that scary. Once in a while you hear somebodys relative tested positive for covid and survived.

Don't you just love the line I would really like to spend some time talking to you about this, it is really important and valuable information, and I appreciate your view point but I'm out of time we really need to go. (Insert commercial on tampons) and five more minutes of commercials.

News isn't supposed to inform. It's supposed to feed you your opinions on things.

Not in most cases, I feel like most people who think they've got a good hold on the world we live in just parrot what the news tells them. Its called "programming" for a reason. You've got people not leaving their homes thinking everyone's out partying while people drop dead right and left right from the bubonic plague out there now.

Once you stop seeing it as information they're giving you to make you smarter and realize you're watching controlled propaganda produced by people with an interest in decieving you, it stops working. Not many people do that, they're perfectly happy being told what to think and believe.

The Bubonic plague is fake history. You are very gullible.

Most history is fake. You can rewrite history every 100 years, nobodys left to argue that you're lying.

Yeah, usually within a short conversation about current events you can tell where somebody is getting their news. You’ve got all these people who think COVID is no big deal and the numbers are exaggerated and whatever, you immediately know where they’re getting their news because there’s only a couple of “news” sources(using that term loosely, since most of them have been forced to admit they’re not actually credible news sources in court) spreading that kind of propaganda.

The funniest(saddest?) part about it is the fact that those people think they’re well informed and look down on anybody who disagrees with them for, ironically, believing everything the news tells them. People will parrot Fox News word for word and then tell other people to stop believing the news. The lack of self awareness would be stunning if it weren’t so commonplace these days.

Did I? I’m not sure what you mean by that, since all I did was make fun of people who parrot one side, it’s not like I parroted anything on the other side.

Yes! And then everything is Breaking News when it’s what they just told you 5 minutes ago. Followed by 10 minutes of obnoxious commercials. I watch a lot of Free Speech TV now.

Often times they will insult the guest with the opposing view and cut them off before responding. This actually makes you almost side with the opposing view in a sense even if you sort of disagreed with it to start. You'll be thinking "let him finish!!!"

As Americans increasingly become primitive thinkers, the guest's 5 second response confirms the attractive image the guest is projecting. The viewer's cognitive biases fill in the rest. Good ratings for the show are preserved.

Anybody old enough to remember when cable or subscription tv was commercial free or almost commercial free. Commercials were for over the air free tv that's how they made their money. Now you pay for it and they still have commercials.
