Do you use milk or water for your hot chocolate?
Some people use water as a base and some use milk. Which do you use? If you don't drink a cup of cocoa what store bought beverage do you enjoy a cup of instead?

Elitist for saying to buy a beverage that's like 3$ a gallon? A gallon of gas costs more..
Here's my logic here, if you are already buying hot coca why not get the inexpensive addition to make in 3 times better.
Unless you are super poor and you already have swiss miss with some lukewarm water.
I've done both, and it depends on how much milk I have left and whether I plan on cooking with it or using it for anything else. The milk definitely tastes richer, but the water isn't bad, especially if you don't want something too heavy.
Some of the mixes have powdered milk in them so you can get by with just water but I still like using milk. Makes it much creamier and smoother.
