Do you have handwriting that's never identical?

I am very self-aware, and have great attention to detail. Also, I confess I'm a mild hypochondriac. Which means I feel that the reason my handwriting is never the same may be because I have some sort of personality disorder.

Having said that, my handwriting is NEVER consistent/stable. I see people and two of the same letters or words they've written are almost identical. My handwriting; words, letters are different on different days. Even my signature I'm never able to write out identically.

I'm not talking about neatness and sloppiness. Although that is a factor. Things that change are: how much pressure I apply, size, slant, smooth strokes vs erratic strokes, letter and word spacing -- and a few other things.

Is this weird or what?

Speaking as someone who has studied the neurological aspects of handwriting (I'm a leftie switched to right and study Biological Psychology so it's a given that I'd indulge my curiosity a bit), having inconsistent handwriting is no where near alarming.

Your handwriting will likely be different due to factors such as the amount of time you have to write, your mood, your blood sugar, how much you're focusing on your writing, the emotion of the writing and so on. Writing is a very complex motor skill that engages more areas of the brain than many people like to think.

YES, certainly inconsistent and messy writing can be a symptom of a psychological disorder but the probability that it is and it isn't presenting itself in more obvious forms is highly unlikely.

My handwriting is generally very consistent as I have to focus quite a bit on writing due to my having an unnatural right handed orientation. It looks like very small but neat font. Most people who notice it comment on my hand position being that of a leftie and my handwriting looking "elvish" (one of the more creative descriptions I get).

Either way, don't look too far into it. It's likely that your worrying about it even is affecting it.

My handwriting changes but I think it's because i'm aware of the fact and try to correct it, I find that if I focus on trying to copy it I mess up,Do you analyze your writing as you're doing it? if so maybe listening to a podcast or music will destract you from it which may revert it to your natural handwriting

I can write in many styles, but... I write mainly in cursive (Psh! I know, right?), and there's so many turns and curls and junk that they never look similar. I mean they can, but with a small, slight difference. (Like maybe the tail of a letter is longer or my o's start to look like a's)

My handwriting is atrocious. It can change several times in the course of a short sentence :(

My handwriting doesn't just change day to day, it can change half way through a paragraph in a letter. I despise that I cannot keep it consistent. I love some styles of my handwriting and hate others, and I've given up trying to control it.
