Do you have assistants at your work? If you do how do you keep them in check?

I have them but they always leave before we are done with work because I'm the one who's officially responsible for the department.

Even though they make less than me they are still being paid the full hour for their work.

I don't think it's fair. Do you?

    No I dont think its fair under almost any circumstances they get to leave before its done. There's not a nice way to say it that I can think of aside from saying you need them to stay until the work is done from now on. They shouldn't have been allowed to start leaving early anyway and they surely know what they're doing is right but they know they're gonna get away with it now.
