Do you have a burglar alarm and security camera? if not, would you get one?

I've been thinking about getting a burglar alarm and security camera for my home. I don't live in a particularly rough place though, so I think maybe I'd be paranoid to get them. But then I have heard of burglaries now and then in neighbouring towns, so idk. What do you think about them? Do you have them? If not, then why not? Is it just the price? Thanks for answering.

I have neither, I don't think they're necessary (at least where I live) 5

I have both. I have the Yale Ring lock, live-feed cameras in my stables and on the house, nanny cam in the gameroom as I often have cubs running around my house, and I used to have two guardian dogs but they retired and live the couch potato life now. I’m healthily armed.

My neighborhood is incredibly incredibly safe and my neighbors enjoy my property freely. I just like knowing who comes and goes, and the cameras are mainly so I can check on my animals.
I’ve never had any case of thieves, except one time a nomadic man tried to steal a few of my sheep, I think he had a couple screws loose though.

I believe in security, I think it’s smart to set up the ability to know what’s going on with your own spot

I have both at my full time home and cameras at my vacation home. That way I can watch the other house when I’m at either one. I think they’re great.

Dogs and nine millimeters. I sleep pretty good.

I have a burglar alarm but not a security camera, I don't think my house has the space to have a security camera unless I owned something like a flat or a mansion or something. I'm probably not interested in getting one anyways.

They're only like $25 for a security camera now. I have them.

I live in the hood. We have a bloodhound and “beware of dog” signs in the windows. As well as firearms.

Just put stickers on your windows from a security system company and a sign on your property warning of electronic surveillance. It's cheap & it works.
