Do you find the word 'queer' offensive?

queer means odd, out of place, unusual, and under the weather (oh, poor johnny got a sore throat).

    I don't really find any words/slurs offensive.

I don’t find any word offensive in and of itself, just the intent of the person who said it.

it's considered offensive if used as a noun rather than an adjective. many lgbtq people use it because it's faster than spitting out a bunch of letters.

No, because it means "weird" before the gays tried to take it.

Not anymore. When I was in high school it was like the worst insult you could throw at a boy but now it's just like ok.

No I don't. It's an umbrella term to describe a person who is not straight.

Depends on what kind of inflection you put on your voice when you say it.

In text, it's an uncommon word to use in most communities I've been in, so if it's used I automatically assume it's an insult.

The offense is always in the context.

    I don’t find anything offensive.

But if you ask me I’ll tell you that I find offensive things to be offensive.

    It’s in limbo.
Context matters, when used by a homophobe it can be an insult. I use the term, I don’t mind it, but I know some people might dislike it.
I try very hard to use vocabulary that is of most comfort for whoever is hearing it or being talked about. I think this is what is polite and courteous.

Its one of my favorite insults. It rolls off the tongue nicely. Has a good ring to it.
