    USA is defintely slipping as a world power and losing credibility.

    Honestly, I'd probably welcome it. The US feels the need to constantly be getting involved in everyone else's business which ends up costing lives on both sides and hundreds of billions of dollars for a resolution that rarely has a lasting impact anyway. And everyone hates us for getting involved anyway, so maybe we wouldn't feel like we have to if the country went down a few rungs on the ladder
