As a woman I believe that they do. I hate all this feminist bullshit and don't even get me started on national woman's day or the woman's marches. I think it's absolutely rediculous that people believe that there is a "wage gap". No, just no. Also blaming men for all your problems is no way to live. Take responsibility for your own actions. Also quit it with the fucking pussy hats I mean seriously!!! This is getting out of control and I bet half those people don't even know what they are protesting because woman have nothing to protest. This is the best time in the history of ever for woman. We have the most rights we have ever had. That should impower people, because there is nothing impowering about someone telling you that you are a victim of circumstance. That's just stupid and contagious. I absolutely despise people who can't take the blame for there problems in life and go around blaming an easy target. That's just straight mean. So stop protesting something that doesn't exist and start taking control of your life.
For the most part, equality is in our laws and rights. I wouldn't say things are completely equal for women however, as anti-female sexism is still fairly common. Recent political elections are evidence of this, along with the overt objectifying that can be seen regularly even to this day. Legally I'd say yes, socially I'd say no. But overall it does seem like the genders do indeed have equal rights.
Nope women still don't have equal rights universal the world over. However, men don't have equal rights either. Some humans just have to abuse others, and they find any way to justify it.
I've concluded that humans are a strange lot. So, the idea of equal rights needs to be socially engineered into the youngest generation so that this grand principle becomes the norm, not the exception.
For laughs, once people get married, I think women have way more rights in that relationship. I'm not sure why men get married and worse, have kids? Why would you do that? It's a financial/time burden that isn't advantageous. But that's what people conventionally do.
Let's just have equal rights and kindness for everybody. I like that.
Create International Everybody Day on the calendar.
I'm glad you posted this on IIN. :-)
Also, if you want sexism, just look to the MGTOW group. I've seen several YouTube videos some time back stating horrible lies about the psychology of women and how men in particular should be the leaders of society and that women should submit. I even saw one by a channel called "Turd Flinging Monkey" (I know) Stating that women enjoyed being abused (PS I've also seen a user on this site say that as well.) and that we're apparently "Too emotional to be allowed to vote or get jobs."
Plus, millions of people in support of a misogynist... Just saying. It's pretty clear.
Again, your ignorance is revealed. MGTOW isn't a sexist movement. It stands for "Men Going Their Own Way". It makes perfect sense in a society in which both genders are now "equal" for certain men to say "women are our equals now so we men can focus on our lives and enjoyment of that life without having to worry about dating/marriage". Personally I don't fully believe in the movement, but I certainly can understand where some of the men who join it/support it are coming from.
If you view that as "sexist", please explain how/why men still have an obligation, both in regards to dating and in general, to women in a society where "equality" is trying to be achieved or as you have put it "has been accomplished legally, but not socially".
I would argue the men of MGTOW are trying their hardest to achieve it on a social level.
