Do people without anxiety/panic disorders have panic attacks?

Specifically asking a question to people on here with a clean bill of mental health - have you ever had a panic attack? AKA a sudden feeling of anxiety so intense your brain literally thinks you’re dying. i don’t have them nearly as often after getting on meds but i’m not sure if the limit for ‘normal’ people was a couple times a year or never

I don't know that you'll get many answers. We're all a bit fucked.

I was squeaky clean in the mental health department up until my mid 20’s, but I had had a panic attack or two before then
I have no Anxiety or any diagnosis in the Anxiety-family now, but I’ve had a panic attack in my late 20’s too that I thought was a heart attack (I’ve had a heart attack before)

So I’d say I had 2 in my life before I had any mental health diagnosis, and 1 after an unrelated one.

I quit weed cold turkey half a year ago and had panic attack after panic attack. That is the only time I've had one.

Oh yeah around a month passed and I smoothed out but it was rough until then. People say weed isn't addicting and has no symptoms but it felt like what I imagine quitting meth feels like. My emotions were out of wack, I got hot and cold flashes, I got sudden flashes of anger, all kinds of shit. I haven't smoked since February. Be careful with weed it's more dangerous than people say! I don't plan on ever smoking again.

I have had them on a few occasions, but then again I definitely suffer from anxiety, despite not going to some medical professional. I know it because I am constantly worrying about something, and I worry so much, too much about things other people wouldn't care about, more than the average person

I find what people call anxiety and excitement so similar that I couldn’t tell you honestly. Shit can be almost addictive.

Very rarely. I have anxiety pretty much constantly so it's become normal to me. It's all I know. If something very unexpected happens I will have a panic attack though, or after a long period of emotional stress. In the middle of covid for example I had panic attacks every other day to the point of ending up at the ER once because I thought my throat was closing up and I couldnt breathe. That happens sometimes. Usually its just struggling to go outside and such. I need a push typically and it doesnt matter what i'm doing. As a kid i'd cry hysterically because I had to leave home even if I was being taken on a fun trip... Oddly i've only been diagnosed with social anxiety... Even though I don't struggle with being in groups of people and never have, as long as I don't need to talk to them. Pretty sure I have generalized anxiety but it's whatever.

I feel anxious on a regular basis. But I could never take medication for it Bc it knocks me out. I’ve had panic attacks but only in severe situations.

I have a friend who has no anxiety at all and she got a panic attack only twice her whole life so far. I don't think they're common with non anxious people. I get them once or twice a week on average lol but I have GAD

I have general anxiety but never had a panic attack.

Trying to determine if I'm just weak sauce and need more hair on my nuts or if I'm actually in need of mental care that I will realistically never seek out.
