the hate was huge in the 90s, examples include:
-Various parody songs
-Shows referencing Barney negatively
-The Barney = 666 joke

I can't think of a single character that received as much hate as the purple dinosaur. Except maybe Jar Jar

    Wasn't there a lot of Teletubbies bashing in the 90s? I remember Lazytown being really hated back in the mid-late 2000s, but now it's seen as a true classic, mainly due to memes.
