In Luke 18:22, Jesus says to sell ALL that you have and distribute to the poor. As an atheist, I totally ignore this blatantly insane advice. However, virtually all Christians ignore it too. Why? It seems very hypocritical...

In other words, it is a very great good, but it is neither necessary for salvation, nor are all called to participate in it.
Whenever someone says Christ was a socialist or communist, I feel the need to point out that the main difference between his charge to share the wealth and the government forcibly coercing you into it. Jesus was all about doing it and doing it of your own free will, otherwise it's not generosity or charity

“Government forcibly coercing” you to redistribute wealth, or to do anything at all, is not communist. As the “government” would be by citizen council and all decisions would be bound by democracy

Democracies still forcibly coerce. Just because people voted for it doesn't mean everyone wanted it, unless the government literally goes about exiling everyone who ends up voting in the minority, and, even then, that would still end up coercing some people.

Do you not realise that true Christianity's eating a set diet of modest foods, and wearing the clothes, and caring about what you drink? When Jesus said don't worry he didn't mean eat, drink, and wear anything no matter, he literally meant don't worry, don't be anxious, be happy, then the Catholics are having a buffet of decent foods like biscuits, coffee, and cake, and potato salad, fools! The food should be simple, you're just following simple rule not to eat luxurious foods, but the food isn't modest! Not one bit, simple means not pretentious or showy, unpretentious, and furthermore I don't like Catholic attire, you dress casual when Christians should dress modestly, believe me it's in the Bible and Muslims dress similar to this.
Simple means nothing when it comes to food, because the term "simple" is intently subjective. Is a soup that has 50 ingredients complex even if all you do is throw each of them into a pot? Is a bread with 6 ingredients simple even if it is very finicky to make? A professional chef would call things simple that I would never dare to call such.

It's not cherry picking. Some things in the bible can just be disregarded if needed, as it's not a requirement for entry to heaven.
I was raised Lutheran and how my family interpreted giving was based on 10% of earnings. When we pulled out of our church because they were going hard left into the ELCA they had to immediately form a meeting to reevaluate their budget. As my family was one of the biggest donors to said church because of said 10%
Jesus was proud of his simple advice to do things ascetically, despite people clinging to belief that Jesus was selfish, he wasn't selfish, I don't listen to Jesus's advice to do ascetic practices, it doesn't make me happy, it's a cherrypicked religion, you're supposed to cherrypick Jesus and make up your own Christianity and do what you say, reading the Bible, otherwise you'll be a sheep following a dead Christ, but the corners are cut by choosing a sect, selling house and possessions isn't good, you need a house, and furthermore you get away with this ridiculous Bible-throughout religion in the city of churches. There's no reason to think Christians aren't hypocrites, they "follow" the Bible but are eating a steak Diane, or pizza on pizza night, that would be hypocritical, as a Lawrence Chaderton Puritan I choose to follow the diet and clothes to the letter 💌, but nothing's a sin, moderate Christianity's the way, it's just that I watch movies and so because it's not healthy I shouldn't be an idiot watching theatre, drama, or entertainment, I should be watching documentaries and not the theatre to watch Hamlet, or Showtime/YouTube to watch "Buffalo '66", that's a stupid choice as it could rot your brain, to do so the Puritans if not rest of Christians would be hypocritical.
Christians ignore everything in the bible except what they feel like not ignoring.
Jesus also said "be ye perfect even as I am perfect". He gave instruction to strive to do our best knowing full well that we're imperfect and will fall short. The important thing is to do your best, and obviously nobody is in a position to give EVERYTHING they have, because they'd die of thirst, starvation, or exposure
