Can you name some obscure or forgotten movies?

The movie doesn't have to be very good as long as it's entertaining.
Example.

.Short Circuit 1986
.Fortress 1992
.Thir13en Ghost 2001
.Osmosis Jones 2001
.Robots 2005
.Aliens In The Attic 2009

You DON'T have to include year it was released.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Escape from New York ( 1981 ). Not exactly obscure, but pretty forgotten nowadays. The soundtrack and atmosphere that movie had is phenomenal.

      • The X-Files did an episode called "ICE". I wonder if Chris Carter watched "The Thing" and decided to do an episode based on the movie.

    • It's been a decade since I've seen that one. 😎

Maximum Overdrive (1986) was one of my favorite horror-comedies from the 1980s.

Though it was never popular one of my favorite obscure movies was Braindead (1992.)

It was splatstick gore-fest comedy which holds the records for the most fake blood used in a film. You can watch it for free on YouTube.

        • A lot of obscure movies on Tubi also. Braindead is one I've not seen yet.

The most WTF gore movie I've seen is From Dusk Till Dawn or Evil Dead.Kill Bill is also up there with the gore.

Pretty much anything that had Arch Hall Jr. in it (Eegah, Wild Guitar, The Sadist). The Girl in Gold Boots is also pretty wacky, and on a similar note Marihuana: The Weed with Roots in Hell is a pretty funny/depressing old anti-drug PSA. Also Darktown Strutters

Going foreign: the Supergiant series from Japan is pretty fucking good. The Mexican Santa Claus movie from 1959 was really fun. Almost anything made in Turkey pre-1990 that completely disregarded copyright was really good. I also highly recommend The Treasure Planet; it's a Russian movie, basically Treasure Island in space, and it actually predates the Disney movie with the same(-ish) name and it's adorably bad

repo MEN is some nonsense about futuristic body parts snatching

repo MAN is about a rudderless 80s teen punk rocker who gets swept up into the world of los angeles car repossession and subsequently crosses paths with a lobotomized nuclear scientist carryin stolen extraterrestrial corpses in his trunk and bein pursued by federal agents

it features a classic punk rock soundtrack sardonic social commentary dark humor and is widely considered as one of the greatest cult classic movies ever made

Plan 9 from outer space. Well known as one of the worst movies of all time but most sci fi geeks love it for what it is.

    Also OSMOSIS JONES, YES.

    • Plan 9 is a classic!

If you enjoyed Osmosis Jones they also did a tv series called Ozzy & Drix based on that movie.
