I remember my mom and I were watching a show about the Golden state killer and my mom said if he would pray for forgiveness he could be forgiven. Is that true can someone who is really terrible be forgiven?
i think it depends on the context of the situation, like a person just going out and torturing and killing random people because they get a kick out of it? hell no. a parent murdering their child's rapist? hell yeah. some people deserve to die
That's the ultimate test of forgiveness. And you'll find that it releases you too.
Depends on the person and circumstances.
The golden state killer is way beyond that consideration though.
everyone is worthy of forgiveness. Except the people who bully me. Fuck them.
I don't think so honestly. Though that doesn't mean that we need to hate them either, because that's not healthy. We can just let it go.
I mean I believe it’s a matter of belief in your religion on if someone could just pray for forgiveness for even the most heinous acts/behaviors but if I had to give my opinion - nah. If you are a serial killer and you wind up in jail, no forgiveness for you. You’re good and right where you belong alongside of being executed.
