Can i sue my landlord over brain damage

I have chrnoic fatigue. it got bad ten years ago when i moved into my new apartment. i didnt make the connection and til they put a co2 detector in my apartment and it started beeping right away. i find out there is low-key gas leak this whole time. so i been sleeping and living in a cloud of gas. i lost my job and my brain function is worse still. they fixed it. im moving out.

    Do you mean CO2 or CO? Co2 is carbon dioxide(its not poisonous in low doses that we encounter in daily life). CO(carbon monoxide) is poisonous.

    Which state are you in? Some states and more specifically, counties and towns often legally require landlords to install CO monitors. Check the law. If he didn't follow the law, he could be in criminal trouble as well.
