Can an ms patient donate their kidney?

My sister went on dialysis. (periodontal) and needs a new kidney, I am 63 with MS, would I be able to give her mine?

    I dont think its a good idea. It could take years off your life. Im trying to talk my wife out of donating a piece of her liver. They say it will regenerate but that sounds like something that could take years off your life.

      But your liver can regenerate completely. It's one of the few organs to be able to do that. That's how integral it is.

        Yeah but you yourself dont know the damage to the body thats done by repairing it. They've only been doing these since the 80s. I dont trust the word of science with my wifes lifespan. Even if I see the science on Foxnews.
