Breaking up through texting

It can seem insensitive but...

What if you hardly ever meet up, or talk on the phone?

Isn't it better than waiting forever for him to 'make time' or be bothered to see you?

[I just did it for the first time.]

I got dumped by text. The man had no balls. Spoke to me in the morning even hinting we should get married, then text in the afternoon to say he wanted it over. I'm better off with out and found someone better but point is, I wish he'd at least had the balls to speak to my face or call me at the very least.

Its rude, and makes you seem like a jerk. Don't do it. Make the time say the dreaded we neex to get together to talk if need be.

You could at least call him, sounds a bit cold.

If someone were to break up with me, I would want it to be over text. A very personal, not short and concise text, granted.
I wouldn't be able to stand it if they broke up with me in person. I would feel so embaressed and akward, I would probably run away like some overly emotional chick.
I don't like being an ovely emotional chick.
    Text break up= good

Haha if you hardly ever see them or even talk on the phone, it can't be that serious. Breaking up by text is still shitty, but not completely apphehensible.

it's a stupid way to break up with someone, just like asking someone out through text. You are a coward and sadly that's normal.

To be blunt... Your a coward for doing that. I'd say you already know this or you wouldn't ask this question in the first place. This happened to me a few years ago, and to this day I completely have no respect for her. Be fair, and quit taking the easy way out!

If you haven't seen them in a couple of weeks and you rarely saw them before that, then yes, text breakups are okay....otherwise, no :)

I find it too hard. Easy if you are the one who decides do break up, but extremely difficult for the one who is left miserably. I wouldnt do it...

Define cowardice for me, please. One of my ex-gf have absolutely no respect for me after I dumped her through text, and ignore her all the time. She make it worse by text me once almost everyday, sometime she said something that is so fucked up and ridiculed about that she fantazie about that I'm not. She's just a coward, twisted bitch with self-esteem issue who don't even try new stuffs with me.

What am I suppose to do without text her? Write her a note about I want to be single again? Oh wait a minute... that was completely normal before cellphone was invented. My first ex-gf done that.
