Bce instead of bc and ad

I think its kind of silly that instead of using BC and AD they use BCE now. Its just throwing a wrench in what we have used now for 2021 years. Its too confusing to stop using it. Seems like some triggered atheists decided to chanfe it.

I'm not sure it was created because atheists didn't like it though, but to make the dating system less focused on one single religion. But I do think it is kind of stupid alright though (and I'm an atheist).

If you're going to change it then you should also change the starting year. What makes 1 AD the start of a new era? Plus there's lots of words we have that have originated from different religions, like the months and days.

I dont really care about that it just seems kind of pointless to go through the confusion just to get rid of a religious term.

Maybe they can stick a year zero in there and fix that fuck up on the Gregorian calendar.

Actually, this was common in my college by at least 2010. BCE-before common era. It is not just atheism- we cannot determine the exact year of Christ's birth. It could be up to 6 A.D.!
