As a 27 year old woman, how young is too young to date?

The rule half your age plus 7 is the most accurate. So 27/2+7= 20.5 and if it's half you really want to round up so 21 for a 27 year old. :)

Guys are generally less mature than women. I'd date older if you can. Also, if you want a family then guys tend to want one later in life more often than women, and that could be a problem if you date a younger man.

I did 9 yrs younger once and it was fun for a while. Once it started getting more serious the difference in age became an issue.

Maturity factor as already mentioned, but also just the fact that we really grew up at different times or in different generations, made our values and perspective of life different.

5 yrs younger is probably as much as I would go today(for a long term relationship) just sex is a different story.

I answered 21 only because it depends on where you live or plan to go/do. 21 is legal anywhere and everywhere. As well as by 21 the person hopefully has had to make a few major decisions on their own and accept some responsibility for their own life.

You also didn't state if you're looking to date M or F. So my answer is based or would apply to either.

24 and I wouldnt date anyone younger than 22. Sure I have a male friend who is 21 and who is more mature than many adults even older than me that I know, but that makes him an exception. Guys generally mature slower AND are commonly mature enough for a serious relationship later in age.

I'm 48 and a co worker had to pick her stuff up from the office because she's working from Home because of Covid 19. I took her stuff to her car and we talked for 20 mins to catch up because I haven't seen her in 18 months. She asked if I wanted to go out sometime but I said I can't. She asked why and I said your 23 and I'm 48 and she said it's just a number. It's really not though she's probably in the party scene and I'm too old for that. I will probably regret it because she's beautiful.

You can date whoever you want, it's the sex with an underage person that can get you in trouble.

I personally wouldn't want to go below 24, but I prefer older men. My man is 14 years older than me and he's fabulous

Stay in the 20s but try to go as close to your age as possible. Men mature more slowly than women.

I don't want to speak for anyone here saddlegoose, but biologically, men can father children throughout their life, whereas women have a limited window. I think that is a big part of the reason men don't necessarily grow up as fast.
