90s were king. I miss those times everyday. 911 changed America forever. Its no where near what it used to be.

The 1992 Los Angeles riots/Rodney King? The Waco siege? The 1993 world trade center bombing? The Gulf war/desert storm? The Oklahoma bombing? The Columbine High School massacre?

I love the 1990's but it doesn't mean the decade was perfect.

Also Ruby Ridge was another big one. Now that I think of it The 90s is when the government started becoming tyrannical and started surveilling ppl but once 911 hit we got more technology and now the government at any time can watch you through your phone camera and read anything you've ever written or searched for on your phone. We are tracked everywhere.

The 90s was still better because while the government surveilled they didnt have the resources to do it like they do now. Plus my grandad was still alive and I use to live on his ranch and everyone talked to eachother more.

It was a dirty, uncivilized decade. Lots of brown shit colors, serial killers, bullies torturing animals, burned out hippies, rampant STDs, etc. No one bothered washing themselves or trimming their crabs/lice infested hair.

I’m glad somebody mention how ugly the 70s were. The golden brown and olive green combo was awful.

I also picture the 70s being like trying to escape from serial killer, same with the 80s.

After all AIDS started in the 70s. Most of the victims started off with long-lasting flu symptoms and iron deficiencies. It wasn’t until gay men started dying from a once very rare cancer, Kaposi Sarcoma, in 1981 that scientists realized something big and new was occurring.

I did like much of the musical contributions and the humor of the 70s.

I'm 25 but I wish I could go back to the 70s, particularly the Jackson five era.

In some ways the 70s seem to be a good time. I really like the music from that era. Although there were still more hate crimes then I believe. I could be wrong.

I'm quite happy to live in the present. I used to miss the 90s/ early 2000s due to my age (28) but I find living in the present to be the best time. We've come a long way, and I'm exciting to see what the future holds. Each generation learns from the past and tries to improve so I just see us getting better and better.

That being said, I live in Canada so that may not be accurate for all parts of the world

Reminds me of how my mom and dad could never stop reminiscing about the 70s and 80s.

I wasn't alive yet, but always thought it seemed like a neat decade! I wouldn't mind experiencing it and the '80s for a day, maybe a few others as well. Not sure I'd want to go back to any particular time for good, though.

70s in my opinion was the best decade of American film, and really to me was the height of the artistic medium.

No, not really. It's a decade just like any other. I don't see what's so special about it.

70's were a great time. Wages were good. Gas and rent were cheap. And we got rid of Tricky Dick.

I think your leaving out some stuff, like rent was cheaper maybe $140 month but minimum wage was $1.05 an hour. Gas started out cheap in the 70s but didn't end up that way. $.95 by 1979. Gas lines around a mile long, or rationed gas. Nixon may have resigned but put to the same standards every president the USA has had since Bush senior would have either had to resign or be sitting in jail along with Hillary and a couple of Chaneys.
You had stumbing Ford, and up until Biden the worst president in US history (nice guy but terrible president) Carter! The war (Vietnam) ended but people spit on the returning troops as well as calling them names and refused to hire them. The news daily talked about them negatively calling them a bunch of druggies. Interest rates for buying a home well over 10%. Yep those were good times.

We have a tendency to remember only the good stuff or the years we had little responsibilities and mom and dad took care of everything.
