Are my parents right?

So I had a friend come over to help me out on some math and she is a good person like even my mom said she was a good person. So when she invited me to her birthday party which only had like 3 people, I asked my mom and she lost her mind I asked my dad and he was even worse!!! He was like "NO, YOU CANT GO ITS DANGEROUS!" I'm like "Mom met her what can she do wrong?" Like he said something bad could happen to me if I go to a friends house like get kidnapped or drugged. Not only that I stuck forever at my house doing chores and nothing cause I'm so bored I can't even go to a friends house at least one person's house. ITS DRIVING ME INSANE. like she invited me to go to the mall with her and of course my parent said no like the hundredth time. I hate it so much. Like I understand they care about me but my mom met my friend what else does she WANT. Are my parent right should I listen to them?

    Talk to them and convinve them have your parents meet your friends parents and tell them if your friends parents can trust their child at your home why can't they..

    Having overly protective parents is normal. You should talk to them and learn about their history. It will help you understand their thought process. Your mom was probably molested at a family party which is why she thinks it's dangerous. You'll never know your perents reasoning until you understand their history.

    if there is any chance at all that she is dangerous; reckless (drugs, sex, situations), or if it's not far fetched that you could find yourself in trouble with her, please listen to your parents. i wish i had listened to mine, but of course i did the exact opposite.
