Aol giving me an error every time i try to dial up but

My aol is giving me an error when trying to dial up. I haven't had too many problems with it until today. It doesn't find my connection and doesn't go through. I have everything connected and my phone has a dial tone. It reaches the first and second squares but the third one doesn't load. I restarted my computer that did not do the trick either. Please any help I asked on forums but they say they don't have aol.

Is anyone having this problem with AOL today?

    Give it a half day or day and see if it works.

    I used dial up before I got DSL. I've had both go down for several hours at a time. They knew they had a problem and were working on it.

    If AOL is not working in 6-8 hours... call them. Your software may be corrupted on your computer (it happens). They should be able to direct you on how to log in somewhere and download new software on your computer.

    I had no idea AOL was still out there. That shit must be CHEAP. Like 3 dollar a month cheap.

    Dial-up? Sounds extremely primitive by 2021 standards.

      But it is all that exists in many rural areas, unless you can pay for satellite service (which is not very fast).

      Cell phone coverage barely exists in many places yet (especially in the mountains) - and if it does it may not be modern cell phone equipment that can handle any kind of reasonable data speeds.
