Any supplements you like?

Are there any supplements that you take or like to take? It surprises me what kind of drugs you can get OTC at walmart. I find it interesting how well some of them work.

  • Ashwagandha (but I don’t take it anymore), creatine monohydrate, spermidine, protein powder, multivitamin (covid/flu season only)

    • Ill have to try spermidine. It sounds similar to NAC.

      • It seems pretty OP. If you search it on Google Scholar you can find papers about it. It’s also in some foods like chicken liver, aged cheese, and broccoli. Spermidine extends lifespan in animal studies and high spermidine diet predicts reduced mortality risks in humans (Madeo et al. 2018)

  • Basic multivitamins. Just to cover your nutritional needs when you know you dont get all from your food intake.

    Calcium is a big one for me. Dont ingest enough in my day to day. Suppose I could swallow non toxic chalk but the flintstones vitamins taste better. Calcium carbonate is in calcium supplements, chalk and tums. Dont eat chalk, raw minerals like that wreak havoc on your digestive system which is why its generally better to ingest the foods with the vitamins you need rather than just the vitamins themselves.

  • DHEA and AlphaGPC are my favorites, NAD is a good one.
