After 1 month sober i give up quitting alcohol

I was sober all of August but after my grandpa died I turned back to alcohol to help with my emotions. I was proud that I was month sober because I lost 30lb. Should I try to quit alcohol again?

Relapsing is part of recovery, and any time sober is beneficial. You must approach each period of sobriety with optimism that this time will stick, every time.

I know some people who really swear by AA meetings, the group setting was a key role in their recovery. Try again, forever

Back on your feet, soldier. You relapsed. It happens.

There are ways of reducing the pain of living that don't destroy your health to the extent that alcohol does - doctor prescribed medication, meditation, prayer, physical activity, therap(ies), social contact. I maintain that the better your health and morale get, the easier it is to set up patterns of 'betterness'. Sad as it is, people who aren't also addicts find it easier to befriend someone who doesn't show signs of alcohol abuse. Even when dealing with people in general, you might find that people take more time to listen to you and consider what you say.

It's time to make progress on that alcohol habit. It'll be worth it.

I suppose you're the proud man telling him to do something he's proud to stop doing, wow, have you noticed advice always is the drivel of telling people stuff that makes them humble?

That's called backsliding. If you keep trying, you'll set yourself up for failure. You've got to decide now which way you're going to take your life. Thrn follow the program and don't look back.

Yeh, it's somewhat normal, and what a rare experience too. A month sober would get you back on a drink, given that I can't even survive one week sober.
