I recently watched Breastfeeding My Boyfriend on Channel 4 in which two men in their 30s breastfeed off their girlfriends. It showed one of them softly lowering his head onto his girlfriend’s rib cage and I was struck by his vulnerability in that moment, waiting wide-eyed to be fed by her body.

It made me think how this is not just a submissive act but arguably the ultimate infantilisation, for someone to (temporarily) lower themselves to the level of a helpless baby and allow themself to be fed like one.

    It is submissive and that is the antithesis of masculinity. If you're a man, do not aspire to be anything other than masculine.       One of the men revealed he grew up without a mother which probably contributed to his desire for an “adult nursing relationship” as he called it.
