27 and parents come into my house without knocking

This is awful. At least now you know never to purchase a house across the street from your parents. Ray Barone taught us this in Everybody Loves Raymond lol.

I would approach it in this way;

1. Tell them to stop letting themselves in to your house without calling or at least knocking. It is your house, not theirs. When they protest just stay firm. It doesn't matter what their response is because it is not a request, it is an instruction.

2. If they continue to let themselves in then change the locks and do not give them a key. If they ask why tell them it's because they continued to let themselves in after you told them to stop.

3. If they still figure out ways to get in, or they become total nutcases about not being able to get in, then sell your house and move far away.

I live over 4,000 km away from my mom.

CHANGE YOUR LOCKS, Tell them you lost your house keys (if they ask, which they will want to know why you changed them. If you are in the shower and they walk in your house, then just walk naked out of the bathroom and let them be suprised. Your house you can walk around in a tutu if you want. It sounds like they need a teen equivalent of a scared straight lesson. If all else fails, get a gf there with you, have sex on the couch or living room floor, but somewhere to get the shock to their senses when they walk in again. You could have a buddy there with you, watching porn and jack in when they walk in. Idk, I'm i st throwing out ideas.

Parents who have no concept of boundaries when it comes to their adult children are awful, and parents who play the guilt card to manipulate their offspring are disgusting.

Change the locks, and get into the habit of locking the doors whenever you're in the house.

The latter is a sensible thing to do in most places, and changing locks is always wise when you buy a house since it's impossible to know who might have been given a key by the previous owner.

Having said all that, I wonder if you still feel you have the right to walk into your parents' home unannounced at any time. If you want them to respect your space, you should behave in a way that shows you respect theirs.

That's just rude. Tell them to ring the doorbell, or even call before coming over. Do they have a key to your house?

Why dont you just change the locks? OR tell you parents about it, i think is very reasonable to want your privacy and take the keys of YOUR house from them.
