I remember when before covid started I thought they would remove the dislike button on youtube because every liberal mainstream media video had like 4x dislike to like ratio. They finally took down the feature so you cant see how much people think theyre full of it.
This is pretty much everywhere now God forbid you show dislike for a stupid video. I think it's to push their views on us by psychologically messing with the public by them thinking if we don't know how many people dislike something it'll make it seem more appealing especially political videos.
This kind of social engineering has been around for a while now.

Yeah Biden is supposed to be the most popular president ever with the most ever votes in history but every video of him speaking has like 10,000% dislike ratio. They want you to think the woke bs is popular when jts not.

So what? Corporations that advertised bad ideas deserve to be downvoted to oblivion.
They said the issue was because people would downvote small channels and make their channels look bad. But the real reason was it was like a protest that showed peoples opinions on things. Like anything covid lockdown related would be downvoted into oblivion and all the comments protesting it.
I don't think I've seen anyone other than corporations think this is a good choice. Even the original co-founder of the company has said he hates the decision.
Luckily there's a browser extension you can download called 'Return Youtube Dislike' which brings back the ability to view the number of dislikes.
Of course that's not to say this is acceptable. I doubt they removed it because of left or right wing videos, but because of the corporations. YouTube are censoring people's opinions to appease the corporations. YouTube isn't a place for the everyday vlogger to voice their opinions anymore, it's a place for corporations to advertise their shitty products without fear of honest feedback.
The dislike button was one of the most useful features of YouTube. Its removal and heavy censorship of comments is disturbing
I saw one the other day of the new omnicorin strain (one of the mandatory videos that youtube forces in your feed no matter how many times you click on dont show again) it had like 400 likes and 5000 dislikes. Anything covid lockdown related gets like 10x the amount of dislikes. Anything liberal gets like triple the dislikes. Youtube definitely has a big right wing base compared to twitter.

From how you phrase this comment, I take it that evil YouTube has left the Dislike count on display for right-wing fruitcake videos?
If that's not the case, then your bias has led you to the wrong conclusion.
And, for what it's worth, what I've observed on the left-of-centre channels I tend to watch is that the Likes always vastly outnumbered the Dislikes. Of course, the fact that we can't see that tally now means you can take a page out of your Dear Leader's book and baldly state total lies as definite facts.
I still see the dislike button whenever i watch a youtube video, so I don't know if the feature is available in my country or not.

I like it. Now if someone has a problem with any of my videos I can see exactly who the fucker is, report and block them. Stupid little trolls will have to stop being cowards hiding behind the anonymity of the dislike button now.
