    What about people who are blind and deaf? That's an exsistence that must be hell.

      Yeah, luckily someone did invent a type of sign language for them called Tactile Sign Language so they can at least learn to communicate with others.

        Communication is key for humans. Theres a reason that for the longest time people thought that people who were blind and deaf were also mentally deficient (since they were deprived of nearly all kinds of language)

            I mean. How are you going to learn information if you cant see, or hear it?

            I can totally imagine how someone like that would be 100% fucked over by the universe by having it during any point in history up until the 1980s when people finally invented a langage for them.

            I can also imagine that having a kid like that is a massive problem if you are a poor farmer... so killing (or just allowing nature to take care of it) a deaf and blind person really doesnt phase me morally.

    I've been slowly losing my hearing for years so I'm halfway to deaf anyway. I'd like to keep my sight.

    I'd rather be blind than deaf. Guide dogs are amazing animals and I would be a very different person had I not been educated by music.

    "Hold Onto Memories" by Disturbed is an example of a life lesson which can only be taught through the power of music. More people need to listen to it, it's a masterpiece.

    Shit, I voted 'To be deaf' only to realize later that life would be crappy for me without ever having to listen to music.

    I'd be deaf because as an artist I at the very least need my eyes. I'm currently working on ASL despite not being deaf (My hearing isn't very good at all) and I honestly think I could handle that much better.

    If I were to be deaf, I would also become a mute. When I can’t hear people in normal conditions (ie: im outside a building trying to communicate to someone inside through a window) I automatically stop talking and start mouthing.

    Im hearing impaired and it is horrible, but being blind would be much worse. If i ever go blind ill choose to end my life than live a life dependent on others.

    Humans are innately very visually-oriented animals, and the world we've created is structured around that fact.

    Not being able to hear creates huge challenges, but blindness makes many things completely impossible.
