There's probably nothing that makes a parent feel more powerless than a self destructive child. I couldn't imagine why you should feel any remorse or guilt over how you reacted when confronted by your child on the downward spiral of drug addiction.
You are only human. Forgive yourself and move on. It seems things are progressing well, but remember that beyond support, there is nothing you can do to 'make' this child stay on the right track. You cannot take on the responsibility for her actions.
