I know this road rage thing very well. I almost killed myself a few times fighting over an imaginary space on the road that I could only occupy for a split second.
Stop thinking of the other drivers as rivals.
They don't know you and don't really care about you. Why should they? Do you know them? Do you care? Like you, they are just trying to get to their destination alive, and sometimes they make mistakes. Have you ever made a mistake? It's happened to me.
Think of the whole driving experience as a very realistic first-person-shooter (except you don't get any weapons).
It's not timed. There are no bonuses along the way. The only way to win is to get from point A to point B without hitting any of the other playing pieces and without getting a penalty from the cops.
Relax. Get a coffee at Starbucks. Listen to some tunes.
40,000 people die in U.S. traffic every year. That's 100 every day. Die doing something worthwhile, like living a long life.
