I nannied for 2 kids (6 and 8) a year ago, and I shit you not they would ask alexa “alexa, whats the weather in ‘my town’?”. They had tablets and a computer, but chose alexa. Kids are wild man.
Kinda. it was more for temperature, but just struck me as an odd first choice for checking the temp. But as kids are, they would hear, “ it is currently 65° outside” and logically proceed to want to wear shorts and a tank top.
I remember in the 80's when people freaked out because some kids had a phone in their room.
Of course those same kids who, back then, fought to get a phone in their rooms are now the same ones freaking out over kids having cell phones or whatever.
it's funny how that works aint it? I mean i don't even use Alexa, a child definitely doesn't need that. I wouldnt overly care much if a child had electronics in their room but if the just ignored me like that in taking those power cables. Plus I mean saying hey Alexa just seens so doughy outside ov when your driving
I desperately wanted to be one of those girls on tv who had a phone in their room!
And yes, the idea of my kids having a mobile phone on them overnight is terrifying. But in fairness they have the internet on them these days and the internet is so bright and scary.
WWYD if you told your kid to go to bed and he did this?

So they were so addicted to technology that they couldn't look out a window to see what the weather was?
