Wtf i'm supposed to do

I have been with this guy best friends for 1,5 years. And slowly we stopped talking. Now we have not snapped and seen eachother for 3 months (quarantine stuff). Now we are back to school and he just stares at me all the time. He also used to like me, but now he is talking to my other best friend. (I'm female btw). And it is just so weird, because we have told everything eachother and I know everything about him and he about me. And now we just stares at me and sends me creepy pictures of me that I didn't even know they existed. Also he is very toxic and I'm soooo "free" know. I could make very big drama of this, but I just chill. He clearly can't handle this situation...

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • That's life... Things don't often work out long term (in fact, that more rare than common - and cherish the ones that it does work out - even if its just a platonic friend).

Just move on and make another friend.

  • Your bad grammar must have scared him away.

  • Haha sounds like he realised the age old mistake some guys make in thinking being friends with a girl is a way to get together with them. Now he’s pissy and going after your friend

    • It's not like friends hooking up and stuff never happens, but the pretending to be a friend for the specific purpose of getting into a relationship is sad and pathetic.

      • Yeah that’s what I meant, like you know the guys who hang out with women for ages, sometimes even years, just hoping it’ll happen. Switched on people usually know within minutes if something will happen between them.

        • Idk, I'm creepier than most people and still manage not to be creepy.

Friends hook up. I know girls I've had sex with who are close platonic friends now. If I got all salty friendzone guy about it I'd just complicate and ruin friendships and make myself unhappy.

I don't understand how guys can, literally for YEARS, pretend to be friends with a girl with the hope that one day she'll realize you're the right choice and getting mad every time she dates somebody else. Even if she does give him a shot she's just giving somebody a shot and he thinks the love of his life finally wants to get married. No way that situation works out well.

          • Yeah I have one friend that I slept with, but apart from her I’m generally friends with a girl because I have no interest in her. Yeah I mean the guys who are friends with them long term purely because that’s what they think will happen. It’s so plainly obvious too, there’s just this weird feeling you get from them when they’re around the girl.

  • Talk to him and see if he's reasonable. If you know everything about each other then it's a proper powder keg. See if you can diffuse the situation before one of you snaps and brings out a flame.

  • If you liked this guy in the past, it can be hard to just let go of those feelings but you will be better without his toxic behaviour in your life. Try to just ignore him and if he starts talking to you, be patient and kind with him but don’t give him any opportunities to be creepy or unpleasant towards you.
