All interesting points but not one is realistic to the post.
No amount of thinking, cunning or cleverness is going to make up for brute strength, in some very common circumstances. You aren't going to have time to even get the 60# pack off the soldier bleeding to death in the line of fire, and certainly no time at all to 'figure' something out. You either do or do not have the strength to grab the pack's straps and drag your partner out of harm's way. Same for the firefighter. Nobody said anything about a wood panel. Think an unconscious partner in imminent danger. Move him now or at least one of you perishes.
They are realistic to the post. Unless every situation involves the extreme, then maybe we would be in trouble. But that usually isn't the case. And you can't guarantee that physical strength is the only attribute that would be useful in all situations. Sure, yes, there are times when it sure would come in handy. But not every emergency involves the need for physical strength alone. This is why we look for a myriad of skills, not just brute.
Would you want to work beside a woman
